Breaking News
Jose Tabata is good. Scary good. After a 3 for 4 showing yesterday which included a homer and 3 steaks, here's where he ranks amongst Florida State League statistical leaders:

.370 BA - 2nd, behind leader by 12 points (the leader is almost 7 years older than Tabs)

40 H - leads league by 4

12 doubles - 2nd, behind leader by 1

29 RBI - leads league

58 total bases - 5th despite at least 5 fewer homers than each of the guys ahead of him

Despite the gaudy numbers, the talk of the FSL is Fernando Martinez of the Mets, not Tabata. That's fine with me, let Martinez have all the pressure of the limelight while Tabs flies under the radar.

Knock knock. Who's there? Tampa by July if he keeps this up, that's who.

Tabata and Martinez are both in the South Atlantic League. Tampa Yankees are in the FSL.

My bad. I got confused with Tampa and the FSL and everything. My brain is fried from the last few weeks of school and trying to cram from finals.
